Metastreet is an IoT startup that enables the global digitization of road infrastructure (I2X/V2X) for the traffic of the future by using "IoT Sensor Devices" & "Smart Tagging®" in a cost-effective, efficient and fast way.
Metastreet collects environmental data and information of the road infrastructure and makes it available in real time to road users (I2X) and later directly into the vehicle (I2V).
This enables hazards such as: Black ice, deer crossing, accidents & obstacles, but also traffic flow and changes in traffic routing can be detected & reported at an early stage.
Metastreet will also be able to provide live data & evaluations in road traffic in many other areas in the future
Along the state road L1218 between Schlat and Reichenbach in the district of Göppingen, delineators with intelligent sensors were installed on a 1km long test track, which collect environmental data and information of the road infrastructure and send them anonymously via Lorawan & NB-IoT to our non-public data server.
This is specifically testing early detection of deer crossing & collecting traffic flow as well as how environmental data.
